Known as Bishop’s Weed, or Gout Weed, Ajwain is an herbaceous plant that yields grayish-brown seeds commonly used in Indian cooking. Ajwain has an unusual aroma similar to oregano, and it’s got a sharp taste. It’s also been used to treat asthma, colds, and indigestion.
